MENTAL PERFORMANCE COACH
I grew up as a highly successful athlete in the sports of hockey, golf, and baseball. Hockey became the main focus, and unfortunately my playing career ended after Junior hockey due to injuries. While remaining active in the hockey community, coaching and mentoring young players, I turned my focus to education earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Marketing from the University of Saskatchewan. I launched a career in the financial services industry and cofounded Regency Advisory Corporation, a financial services firm catering to business owners in Western Canada. I now call Scottsdale Arizona home relocating here in 2015 from Canada after a successful career in business in search of new challenges. I earned a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University and became an Arizona board approved Licensed Associate Counselor. While working on my Masters I helped launch Grand Canyons ACHA hockey program and served as an assistant coach for 2 seasons. My vision for the program was an integral part of helping them reach ACHA D1 status. In 2017 I was recruited by Arizona State University to join their ACHA D1 program as an assistant coach and have served in that role since. In 2019 I was recognized and recruited as a Primary Therapist by the Meadows Behavioral Healthcare Center. The Meadows boasts the nation’s most elite treatment programming for trauma, mental health, addiction, and resiliency training. As well as my work at the Meadows I continue to develop my private practice where I deliver Mental Performance Coaching to athletes, coaches, and families. I work with my clients to deliver key strategies and tactics helping them to develop in the areas of self-confidence, communication, growth mind-set, achieving goals, positive self-talk, visualization, and self-efficacy.
